Election Update (July 1, 2024)

Vice Mayor Wei-Tai Kwok will not seek Re-election to Lafayette City Council

Due to increasing work-related responsibilities and travel, as well as the growing needs of my aging parents, I have decided to not seek re-election for another term on the Lafayette City Council.

It has been an honor to serve residents of the Lafayette community in helping to address the myriad issues facing us, including housing availability, public safety, wildfire risk, pedestrian and bicycle safety, fiscal sustainability, inclusivity, climate and more.

Thank you to the members of the community for supporting me in my public service role, most especially my wife Violet for her immeasurable support and sacrifice.

For the remainder of my term, I will continue to work diligently on the important matters that will be coming before the Council this year. I encourage you to stay in touch with me on all the issues we care deeply about.
